HomeMy WebLinkAbout2102 Amending City Code 210.590E and 605.320N Related to Fireworks.BILL NO: 2025-064 ORDINANCE NO::Oy D AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE SECTION 210.590E AND SECTION 605.320N RELATED TO FIREWORKS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN FOR THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, as follows: SECTION 1— ADOPTION OF AMENDMENT. Section 210.590E and Section 605.320N of the City Code of the City of Riverside, Missouri is hereby amended to read as follows (text to be added is underlined; text to be repealed contains a sbikethfough): Section 210.590 Fireworks. E. Fireworks may only be used, ignited and/or discharged at the following times: 1. From 10:00 P.M. on December thirty-first (31 st) until 1:00 A.M. on January first (1 st); and 2. From 10:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. each day during the period of Ame twenty {mil) June twenty-eighth (28a') to July second (2nd) and on July fifth (5th); and 3. From 10:00 A.M.to 12:00 A.M. (Midnight) each day on July third (3rd) and July fourth (4th). Section 605.320 Sale of Fireworks and Fireworks Occupational License N. Removal of Stands- Bond required. All temporary licensed stands and signs shall be completely removed, and the site where such stand was erected shall be cleared of all debris and trash within three (3) business days after expiration of the term for retail sales of fireworks. All applicants for a license who intend to sell fireworks from such a stand shall furnish a cash performance bond with their application to the City Clerk. Such bond shall be payable to the City and in the face amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000). SECTION 2 — EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and approval.
