A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF PERSONAL PROTECTION
EQUIPMENT FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT PATROL DIVISION FROM CCG SAFETY
GEAR IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $19,728.00
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE,
MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS:
THAT the Board approves the purchase of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for the
Police Department Patrol Division from CCG Safety Gear, Olathe, KS, in accordance with the
attached agreement and Quote No. 2182 (19,728.00) and the Mayor, City Administrator, or Chief
of Police is authorized to sign the Quote on behalf of the City; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, the City Administrator, the Finance Director, Police
Chief and other appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as
may be deemed necessary or convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this
Resolution and to execute and deliver for and on behalf of the City all certificates, instruments,
agreements and other documents, as may be necessary or convenient to perform all matters
herein authorized.

Resolution Overview
AGENDA DATE: September 23, 2025
BACKGROUND: This request is for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the police
patrol division. Some of the items included in the request are leg guards, arm guards,
and riot helmets. The items were approved in the 2025-2026 fiscal budget and will be
purchased from CCG Safety Gear. The equipment is not on an approved contract.
However, CCG is the primary supplier to our region, and the pricing is consistent with
what other police departments in our area are paying. Purchasing from CCG also
ensures our equipment is consistent with that of other departments, so if the need
arises, others can use it since they will already be familiar with it.
BUDGETARY IMPACT: $19,728
