A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT
FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TACTICAL OPERATIONS TEAM OFF THE MISSOURI
STATE NASPO GOVERNMENT CONTRACT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $28,000.00
WHEREAS, the Police Department has the need to purchase Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE) for the tactical operations team; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside in the adoption of its purchasing policy has approved the
practice of purchasing equipment from competitive bids awarded by other governmental entities
through the cooperative bidding process; and
WHEREAS, funds for such purpose were budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 budget; and
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside finds it in the best interest of the citizens of the City of
Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for
Tactical Operations Team of the Police Department, off the Missouri State NASPO Government
contract CC241020003 in an amount not to exceed $28,000.00.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, the purchase of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), for the Tactical Operations
Team of the Police Department, off the Missouri State NASPO Government Contract in an amount
not to exceed $28,000.00 is hereby authorized and approved; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor and/or the City Administrator, or his designee, are hereby
authorized to execute all documents necessary or incidental to this transaction and the City Clerk is
authorized to attest thereto.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen and APPROVED by the Mayor of
the City of Riverside, Missouri, the 23rd day of September 2025.

BACKGROUND: This request is for the purchase of personal protective equipment
(PPE) for our tactical operations team. This includes external vest carriers and required
equipment pouches, soft body armor panels, ceramic rifle plates, and other necessary
items, such as ID panels. The current PPE has expired and requires replacement to
keep our team operational. The equipment was approved in the 2025-2026 fiscal
budget and will be purchased through CCG Safety Gear using the NASPO contract,
164721, and the Missouri State contract, CC241020003.
