FINANCE No report. FIRE Fire Chief Gordy Fowlston gave an update on the City's negotiations with•AMR for ambulance services. We are hoping to have a draft contract later this week to start reviewing. Chief Fowlston noted that part of the negotiation is to have an new ambulance based out of Riverside with the City's name and logo on it. It was asked if that would oblige the city to a long contract with AMR. Fowlston replied that AMR typically does a 5-year contract. This service will be considerably more than what we pay for our current contract with Kansas City, Missouri, but we expect the service to be much better. We looked at what it would cost to operate our own ambulance service and personnel cost would be well over a million dollars per year. That does not include purchasing the ambulance or equipping them POLICE No report. PUBLIC WORKS No report. LEVEE BOARD Meeting August 201h at noon.
