A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
AMMUNITION FROM GULF STATES DISTRIBUTORS FROM THE STATE OF
MISSOURI COOPERATIVE PURCHASE CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside Department of Public Safety utilizes a variety of
ammunition for training and duty use; and
WHEREAS, the City, in the adoption of its purchasing policy, has approved the
practice of purchasing equipment and supplies from competitive bids awarded by other
governmental entities through the cooperative bidding process; and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has competitively bid certain police department
equipment and supplies utilized by the City and has determined that the State of
Missouri Cooperative Purchase Contract #C114052005 to be the most competitive bid;
and
WHEREAS, the City finds it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of
Riverside to authorize and approve the purchase of ammunition from Gulf States
Distributors within budgeted amounts for the fiscal year 2025-2026 from the State of
Missouri Cooperative Purchase Contract.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT the purchase of ammunition from Gulf States Distributors in the amount of
$29,680 is hereby authorized and approved; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, City Administrator, and staff are authorized to
execute all documents necessary for these transactions and the City Clerk is authorized
to attest thereto
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
Missouri, the 18th day of November 2025.
