WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
State of Missouri, has previously expressed its support of the
Mayors' Council's efforts to negotiate for the acquisition of
all of the assets of the Parkville Division of the Missouri
Cities Water Company; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of said City has provided a
pro rata funding of the Water Company Fund for preliminary
work toward such an acquisition; and
WHEREAS, after reviewing the progress to date, the Board of
Aldermen feels that the acquisition of the assets of the Parkville
Division of the Missouri Cities Water Company and the operation
of said Division by the Joint Municipal Utility Commission is in
the best interests of the citizens of the City of
Riverside
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Aldermen of
the City of Riverisde, State of Missouri, that it does
hereby approve the continued efforts of the Platte County Mayors'
Council to acquire the assets of the Parkville Division of the
Missouri Cities Water Company and does affirm its continued
intent to provide its pro rata share of the funding of the said
endeavor to its conclusion.
