AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES BY DESIGNATING
POLICE DEPARTMENT-SPECIFIC RECORDS CUSTODIANS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMAN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 -ADOPTION OF AMENDMENT. That Section 125.020 of the Municipal
Code is hereby added to read as follows:
Section 125.020. Custodian of Records Designated.
The City Clerk is hereby designated as the Custodian of Records (the "Custodian") for
purposes of compliance with Chapter 610, RSMo. (the "Sunshine Law").
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Records Supervisor of the Police Department is
hereby designated as the Custodian of Records, and the Records Clerk of the Police
Department is hereby designated as the Deputy Custodian of Records, solely with
respect to records created, maintained, or held by the Police Department, for purposes
of compliance with the Sunshine Law.
SECTION 2 -EFFECTIVE DATE. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and approval.
BE IT REMEMBERED that the above was read two times by title only, PASSED AND
APPROVED by a majority of the Board of Aldermen and APPROVED by the Mayor of
the City of Riverside, Missouri this 27th day of January 2026.
