AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE PERTAINING TO THE NUMBER OF
LIQUOR LICENSES GRANTED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 -AMENDMENT. That City Code Section 600.025 is hereby amended to read
as follows (language to be repealed contains a strikethrough; language to be added is
underlined):
Section 600.025. Restriction on Number Issued.
A. The number of licenses issued for the sale of alcoholic liquor by the City shall be
limited as set forth in this Section.

limit of fii.ie (5) liquor by the drink for consumption on the premises licenses in
the City of Ri 11erside.
2. Paokage /iq1;1or /ioense. There shall be a limit of four (4) package liquor licenses
in the City of Riverside, Missouri.
3. Beer aRd light wiRe .'ioeRses. There shall be a limit of three (3) beer and light
wine licenses in the City of Riverside, Missouri.
4. S1;1nday sales license. There shall be a limit of two (2) Sunday sales licenses in
the City of Riverside, Missouri.
5. 1/i/-holesate aRd distrib1;1tor's lioeRse. There shall be no limit on v.iholesale and
distributor's licenses in the City of Riverside, Missouri.
6. Package .'iq1;1or Jioense (S1;1Rday). There shall be a limit of four (4) Sunday
package liquor licenses in the City of Ri•.ierside, Missouri.
7. Resort JioeRse. There shall be a limit of t\¥0 (2) resort licenses issued and
outstanding at any time in the City of Ri 1.ierside, Missouri.
8. Temporary oateFiRg lioeRse . There shall be no limit on the number of temporary
catering lioenses in the City of Ri 11erside, Missouri.
B. Provided ho 11.1e\1er, 1.-.ihen the total population of the City of Riverside, Missouri,
reaohes fi\1e thousand (5,000) persons as determined by the United States Deoennial
Census, then one (1) additional lioense may be issued in eaoh of the foregoing
olassifications for each one thousand (1,000) persons in excess of five thousand
(5,000) persons population, as determined by the decennial census.
C. Change Of Location. A retail liquor dealer's license shall permit the sale of alooholio
beverages only on the premises desoribed in the applioation and lioense. Suoh
location may be changed only upon the expressed appro1.<al of the Board of
Aldermen.
D. Established .Premises f\'-Ot Affeoted. No provision of this Section shall be construed
to limit or extinguish local lioenses existing and outstanding at the time of the passing
of this Section. No pro 11ision of this Section shall be oonstrued to permit transfer of
the ownership of licenses.
SECTION 2-EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after the date of its passage and approval.

AND APPROVED by a majority of the Board of Aldermen and APPROVED by the Mayor
