AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 15.1 OF THE CODE OF THE
CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI DEALING WITH BILLIARD AND
POOL TABLES, REGULATIONS FOR KEEPERS OF AND PROVIDING
PENALTY FOR VIOLATION AND ENACTING A NEW CHAPTER 15.1
IN LIEU THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Chapter 15.1 of the code of the City of Riverside,
Missouri, is hereby repealed.
It is hereby enacted Chapter 15.1 Billiard and
Pool Tables which shall read as follows:
15.1 BILLIARD AND POOL TABLES, REGULATIONS FOR KEEPERS OF -
PENALTY FOR VIOLATION
Section 1. All persons keeping or permitting to be
kept in premises under their control any billiard or pool
table for use by members of the general public shall comply
in all respects with the following:
(a) All such rooms shall be kept well lighted during
all times that said tables shall be either in use or
available for use by members of the public.
(b) No gambling of any sort shall be permitted in the
room in which such tables are kept, nor shall any betting
be permitted in connection with the use of such tables.
(c) In the event any of said tables are kept in a
room, building or establishment which adjoins and connects
with, by a door or other passage, to an establishment,
building or room where intoxicating liquors or non-
intoxicating liquors or beer is sold, minors under the
age of eighteen (18) years shall not be permitted to
use such tables unless accompanied by a parent or
guardian.
Section 2. Any person violating the terms of this
ordinance shall be subject to arrest and upon conviction
shall be subject to a fine of not more than One Hundred
Dollars ($100.00) or thirty (30) days imprisonment in the
City Jail, or both such fine or imprisonment and costs.
Section 3. In addition to the penalty above provided
for, any person found guilty of violating the terms of this
ordinance who may be the holder of a license for any billard
or pool table in the City of Riverside, Missouri, may also suffer
revocation of such license upon motion made and carried by
the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri.
