ORDINANCE N0. ~/
AN ORDINANCE SEVERING THE POSITION OF THE ASSISTANT CITY CLERK
AND THE POLICE CLERK, FIXING THE DUTIES OF SAID POSITIONS AND
THE COMPENSATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TEE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLON]S:
Section 1. There is hereby created the position of an
Assistant City Clerk which shall no longer be combined with
that of Police Clerk.
Section 2. The duties of the Assistant City Clerk shall
be as follows:
1. To keep a journal of the proceedings of the Board of
Aldermen. [the minutes]
2. To keep all ordinances and code books current.
3. To safely and properly keep the records and papers
belonging to the City which may be entrusted to her
care.
4. To be the general accountant for the City.
5. To administer official oaths.
6. To administer oaths to persons certifying to demands
or claims against the City.
7. To do such administrative duties as may be delegated
to her by the City Clerk or Mayor. ,
8. To attend all regular and special meetings of the
Board of. Aldermen unless otherwise directed by the
Mayor or Mayor Pro Tem.
Section 3. The salary of the Assistant City Clerk shall
be as determined by the Board of Aldermen.
Section 4. The Assistant City Clerk shall receive in
addition 10 cents per mile when subpoenaed or directed to appear
by the City's Attorney and out of town court proceedings.
Section 5. Code Section 2.12 is expressly repealed and a
new section added to read as follows:

2. To safely and promptly keep all bond money and fine money
and to promptly deliver the same to the City Treasurer.
3. To promptly process all appeals.
4. To render upon request of the Board of Aldermen an
accounting of all funds coming to the City or deposited
with the City by virtue of the Police Court.
5. To certify to the Department of Revenue the record of
conviction for all moving traffic violations.
Section 8. The Police Clerk shall receive a salary in the
amount of $100.00 per month.
Section 9. The position of_ the Assistant City Clerk and the
Police Clerk shall no longer be combined and Code Section 2.12
