ORDINANCE NO. ,~` 3
AN ORDINANCE MAKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON TO TREPASS UPON THE
CITY TOW LOT OR THE CITY ANIMAL SHELTER OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE,
MISSOURI, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES THEREFORE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. No person shall willfully enter or go upon the
enclosed premises of the City Tow Lot, or upon the enclosed
premises of the City Animal Shelter, without the expressed
permission of the Police Department in the case of the City
Tow Lot, or the Animal Control Officer or the Police Department
in the case of the City Animal Shelter. Provided, however,
that a person may enter or go upon said premises in the company
of a police officer to inspect or retrieve an item of property
located in the City Tow Lot or in the company of the Animal
Control Officer or a police officer to inspect or retrieve an
animal impounded in the City Animal Shelter.
SECTION 2. The Police Department is hereby directed to
post plainly written signs or warnings, where they may readily
be seen, using the words "No Trespassing", "Keep Out'°, or words
with similar meaning upon the enclosed premises of the City
Tow Lot and the City Animal Shelter.
SECTION 3. Any person violating any of the provisions
of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be deemed guilty of
a misdemeanor and punished by a fine of not less than One Dollar
($1.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or by imprison-
ment in the City Jail for a term not exceeding ninety (90) days
or by both such fine and imprisonment.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to insert
the operative provisions of this ordinance in the Criminal Code
of the City of Riverside, Missouri as Section 22.015.
