HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-46-A8 - Placement of Traffic Control DevicesBILL N0. ~~ ORDINANCE N0. ~~ ~d r' AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING THE DECISION OF THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO PLACE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES AT THE INTERSECTION OF TILLISON ROAD WITH THE BURLINGTON RAILROAD AND AT THE INTERSECTION OF 169 HIGHWAY AND WEST PLATTE ROAD. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, as follows: Section 1. The Police Chief of the City of Riverside acting by and through the police department is given authority by virtue of Ordinance 46R1 Section 10 to install traffic control devices, signals and signs when and as required by the Board of Aldermen. Section 2. The Chief of Police and the Board of Aldermen have determined that it is in the best interest of the residents of the City of Riverside that stop signs be placed at the crossing of Tillison Road and the Burlington Railroad. Section 3. That the Police Chief is authorized when in his discretion he may deem it appropriate to direct the installation of stop signs at this location. Section 4. The Board of Aldermen have determined that it is in the best interest of the City of Riverside, Missouri that traffic control devices be pl:~ced at 169 Highway and West Platte Road and the same have been installed by the State Highway Commission.
