HomeMy WebLinkAbout1952-71 Regulating Burning of Trash, Paper, and Other Combustible Materials Within City LimitsBILL NO. 71 ORDINANCE NO. 71 AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE BURNING OF TRASH, PAPER AND OTHER COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF RIERSIDE, MISSOURI. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to burn any trash, papers or other combustible materials within the city limits of the City of Riverside, Missouri, unless such material shall be burned in a container which has a lid either of wire mesh or some other similar construction, so that the damage of bits of burning paper or other material escaping from such container will be minimized. Section 2. Any person violating the terms of this provision shall be subject to a fine of not more than $100.00 or imprisonment in the city jail, or if there be no city jail then the county jail, for not more than 90 days, or both such fine and imprisonment and costs.
