ORDINANCE NO.~~-~-~-~ AN ORDINANCE LIMITING THE NUMBER OF LIQUOR LICENSES AND REPEALING ALL PORTIONS OF PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS: 1. There shall not be issued and current more than seven licenses for the sale of all kinds of intoxicating liquor by the drink for consumption on the premises until the total population of the city reaches 3500 persons as determined by the United States decennial census. There shall not be issued and current more than three licenses for beer in excess of 3,2% of alcohol by weight by the drink for consumption oxi the premises until the total population of the city reaches 3500 persons as determined by the United States decennial census. There shall not be issued and current more than three licenses for the sale of.~intoxicating liquor in the original package until the total population of the city reaches 3500 persons as determined by the United States decennial census. There shall not be issued and current more than one license for the sale of beer in excess of 3,2°fo of alcohol by weight in the original package not for consumption on the premises until the total population of the city reaches 3500 persons as determined by the United States decennial census. 2. When the population as determined by the United States decennial census shall exceed 3500 persons then one license may be issued. in each of the foregoing classifications for each 1,000 persons in excess of 3500 persons. 3, No provision of this ordinance shall be construed to limit or extinguish liquor licenses existing and outstanding at the time of the passing of this ordinance. No provision of this ordinance shall be construed to permit transfer of the ownership of licenses, 4. All provisions of any other ordinance in conflict with this ordinance are hereby amended.
