BE IT ORDAINED BY T'rIE BOARD OF ALDERI~P OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, T~~SSOURI, AS r^^OLLO~^1S: Sec*'i.on 1. Section 25 of ordinance rt~mber 87-3 of the City of Riverside, T•lissouri, is hereby repealed and the following section is enacted in lieu thereof: SECTIN 25. E:~;PLOYEEt S PERT'1IT. (a) P.ll persons employed by licensees en`.aged in the retail sale of alcoholic beverages by the drink must obtain. a permit through the office of the City Clerk. All applicants to procure such a permit shall be fingerprinted by the assistant police chief, and furnish to the assistant chief of police, an identifying photograph in duplicate of the person to be employed. Such. applicant shall pay the sum of five dollars (N5.00) for such permit and be ;-,iron, upon application. duly made in writing, a temporary card z-*hich will be valid fora period not less than thirty (3U) days, and may be extended to cover the period necessary for a detai7_sd 9_r_vestigation by the assistant police chief. If, before the expiration. date of such temporary c^rd, the applicant ~' meets the requirements of the State and the City, then such applicant shall be issued a permit card good for .a_-znA^~.~-- ~' +~~T^~'"^ r"~ ~~'~ g~.e~p s~i~ i~C„3nM data _ If such permit card becomes lost, before the date of application, another permit card will be issued upon application and the sum of one dollar 0;;1.00) is paid. (b) ~T4PLOYEEt S PHYSICAL E<.AT~:INA~i~ION. It shall 'ce necessary that all apr~licants for permits under this section, furnish the City of Riverside, P~issouri a written re;~ort by a duly licensed physician, that the applicant for such permit is ~n good health, free oi' any con La~;ious, mali;;nant or infectious disease, or defect, illness or disability, ?•rhich would prevent the applicant from performing the duties of employee of a liquor esta'~lishment or store, sellinf_ drinks or serving alcoholic beverages or f ood for consumption on the premises, suc'n as t o endanger the health a.nd well-'ceing of the public. (c) ~'.~T~:^1ALS. Upon the expiration of said permit card s a repewal thereof may ba granted by the City in the same manner as before, however, the fingerprinting of the applicant may be dispensed with if said fingerprinting is then in the files of the City i;lerk. .• (d) P.'LVOKTTTG O"r' P~i?;IT. ~i~he employees permit may be ' revoked if such n_erson becomes a police character, or convicted of any crime, om is found guilty of the violation of any provision of this ordinance. It.shall -1- pa ~e two ~~~ Ordinance T'Yo, ~~/~ be unlataful for any licensee of any liquor retail establishment to have in his employ, to sell or assist in the sale or delivery of ahoholic bevera e s, any person t~~ho does not have a permit card as herein provided, aowever, that any licensee may employ an unpermitted person for a period not to e°ceed forty-eight (!~8) hours, but such licensee shall not retain or r3-employ any person who has not procured a permit card.
