AN ORDINANCE CANVASSITIG THE iiITURNS OF ~i'H; JUDGES OF THE GENERAL CITY ELECTION H ELD ON APRIL 7, 1953, FOR CITY OFFICERS AND DECLARIDTG THL Ri~;SULTS THEREOF AND PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUAATCE OF CERTIFICATES OF ELECTION. BE IT ORDAIN ~' BY THE BOARD OF ALDRA1EN OF TIi: CITY- OF RIVERSID, T~iISSOURI, AS FOLL04JS: Section 1. That the board of aldermen does hereby canvass the returns of the judges of the general city election held on April 7, 1953, for ca.ty officers and finds and declares that on the f'a ce of the returns of the said judges and the results of the said general elect- ion to be as follows: ALDERTfi~d FIRST WARD: Roy Renner 22 Victor C. Panus 82 Alderman SECOND 1]ARD Winston R. Klan 31 ALDERT9ffi~T THIRD YJAIZD William T. Scrivner 69 Maurice DeHaemer 30 Section 2. That upon the face of the returns of the judges, Victor C. Panus was elected to the office of Alderman from the first ward, Winston R. Klamm was elected to the office of Alderman from the second ward, and 1rlilliam T. Scrivner was elected to the offico of Alderman from the third ward, and each of them to serve for a term of two years or until their successors are elected and qualified and they according to said returns are entitled to certificates of election to be issued by the City Clerk. Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to issue certificates of election to each of the above named suc- cessful candidates certifying their election to their respective offices and for the terms above set forth.
