AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE AUTHORIZING OF EMPLOYMENT
OF ROBERT CLLVENGER AND JOHN COOTS AS SPECIAL COUNSEL FOR THE
CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFENDING THE
CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI AGAINST THE DEINCORPORATION OF THE
CITY OF RIVERSIDE AND PROVIDING THE RATE OF COMPENSATION
TO BE PAID THEREFOR.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS;
Section 1. It is hereby decreed that Robert Clevenger and John Coots, attorneys at law shall be and they hereby are
employed by the City of Riverside as special legal counsel to serve as such until further order of this board. Services
rendered by said above attorneys prior to the passage of this ordinance are hereby ratified and authorized and to be
paid for at their usual rate.
Section 2. His duties as special legal counsel shall be to render to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen such legal
services as may be required by said Mayor and Board.
Section 3. The rate of compensation to be paidsaid attorneys shall be $100 each as a retainer fee plus their usual rate.
