HomeMy WebLinkAbout1954-155 - Prohibition of Horses on Black-Topped SurfacesBILL N0. 155 ORDINANCE N0. 155 AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE RIDING, DRIVING, LEADING OR HERDING OF HORSES SHOD WITH METAL SHOES ON ANY OF THE BLACK-TOPPED STREETS IN THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION.1. It shall be unlawful for any person to ride, drive, lead or herd any horse or horses shod with metal shoes on any of the black-topped streets in the City of Riverside. SECTION 2. For the purposes of this Ordinance ("black- topped" streets shall be deemed to be any public street the surface of which has been sealed or paved with macadam, tar, asphalt or oil. SECTION 3. Any person violating the provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not more than $100.00 or imprisonment in the County fail for not more than g0 days, or both such fine and imprisonment.
