HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960-178-A1 - Provision of Additional Street LightsORDINANCE N0. /7~ Q AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR ADDITIONAL STREET LIGHTS IN THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, ~4ISSOURI, AND SUPPLEMENTING THE CONTRACP ENTERED INTO WITH KANSAS CITY POWER & LIGHP COMPANY FOR THE F'[JRNISHING OF PUBLIC ELECTRIC STREET LIGHTS FOR THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS AUTHORIZED BY ORDINANCE N0. 178. WHEREAS, THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI (hereinafter referred to as the "City+'), has heretofore contracted with KANSAS CITY POWER & LIGHT COMPANY, its successors, assigns and grantees (hereinafter referred to as the "Company"), for the furnishing of public electric street lights for the City of Riverside, Missouri, upon the terms and conditions set forth in a contract dated February 1, 1955, authorized by and made a part of Ordinance No. 178 of the City of Riverside; and WHEREAS, the City now desires to add additional street lights to those provided for in said contract and ordinance, as amended, all as provided for and authorized by said contract and Ordinance No. 178. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD QF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 2 of Street Lighting Contract dated February 1, 1955, shall be amended to provide for seventy-one (74), Lt00 watt mercury- vapor street lights. Said additional street lights are to be installed and maintained at the locations set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 2. A new paragraph (b) shall be added to Section 2 which shall read as follows: (b) 74 1100 watt mercury-vapor street lights supported by wood poles and six (6) foot brackets and served by overhead wire. Price per lamp per annum ... $121.80 Section 3. The street lighting contract dated February 1, 1955, (Ordinance No. 178), is hereby amended only in the respects herein set forth and is in all other things ratified and affirmed. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediate],y upon passage and upon the written acceptance thereof by Kansas City Power & Light Company. AN CRDINANCE PROVIDING FOR ADDITIONAL STREET LIGHTS IN THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AND SUPPLEMENTING THE CONTRACT ENTERED INTO WITH KANSAS CI'PY POWER & LIGHT COMPANY FOR THE FURNISHING OF PUBLIC ELECTRIC STREET' LIGFD'S FOR THE CITY QF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS AU~'HORIZED BY ORDINANCE N0. 178. WHEREAS THE CI'PY 0~' RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI (hereinafter referred to as the "City ), has heretofore contracted with KANSAS CITY POWF~i & LIGST COMPANY, its successors, assigns and grantees (hereinafter referred to as the °Compan<y"), for the furnishing of public electric street lights for the.
