A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside.
Missouri, wee held in Else City Nell in Riverside, Missouri, on April 21, 1998,
et 7:30 a.m.
Those present were Mayor Ed Rule, Aldermen Ron Super, Brenda Teter e,
Pame3e Derste, Batty Burch, Rey Beard and George Flews.
Also oreeent were Ann Denielo, City Administrator, Steve Crystal, City
Attorney, Bob Baylaee, Chief of Public Safety end Srene Paulhe. Secretary to
the Board.
Minutes of 3-17-98 George Flaws repuested that h1e vote on the notion

Attorney Steve Cryetel reiterated hie opinion et the

tell the Mayor or Board how to vote on this type of
business.

April - Volunteer Ann Danlele, City Administrator, said that April ie
Month. the month to recognize Volunteers end she presented a
plaque to Herold Well end Aey Gentry for their
valuable work in volunteering once every month and for
the fu31 week end et the Recycling Center, since the
recycling began. Herold Wall said that Ann Dsni ale
should oleo be recognized because of her bei»g there

Aropoeed Aivereide Ann Danieie reported on the meeting she end the ffeyor
Post Office. hod with tho peogie frog the Federe! Poet Office
Department who met with them on lfondey, April 24,
1998. Summarizing the meeting it appeared that there
would be no problam with one zip code <64554) for the
City, ho++ever, there were two items which had to be
met, i.a. C1) The Poet Office Department will send out
e questionnaire to the people who live in Aivereide
end receive mail with a different. zip codo from 64354.
These queetionnairee will heve to show that 51x of
these geogie went the 64150 zip code. This exciudee
the oeonie who have Poet Office boxes which zip code
will. regain 64168p end <2) the City wail heve to
furnish the Poet Office Building end sign en agreement
that it wili charge the Bost office one doSlar per
veer for one 20-Year lease with fou: five-year
renewals. The Poet Office people wili heve to heve en
enewor by tomorrow. A discussion was bed end there

about the Park Soerd'e budget for the years 1998-99.

Parh Board would be able to participate in the
discussion of the Perh'e 1998-99 budget. St wee

to the present perk equipment end erase st both
ffomaetead and Aenner-Brenner Parke. Ann Deniele said
that this ie being taken care of.
Spring Cleaning. Ann ,Deniele reported that the spring cleaning this
week end went very well. theta were approximately 12
dumpetere filled. Tha Dumgetere will be beck again
this week end.
Chief Bob Bayleea' Chief Beyleee reported on the lfetro Squad's
Report. invsetigstive work on the homicide of Croeetramer
Sohnmon SSS. Chief Bayleee esid se the different
Public Safety Departments, Police Deoertmente end
Sheriff Degertmente are participating in this
homicide, Riverside Public Safety Deportment has
garticigated in other Cities' inveet.igationa.
Aivereide Public SefetY Department will have certain
expenses end rather than request a check each day far
the expenses, Chief BaYleee would like to heve a check
got Y~3000.00, which would leet eggroximetelY six deYe.
