BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERA~IEN OF THE CITY OF RIV?R.°~IDE, A~ISSOURI, AS FOLLOV~S; SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any pers®n, firm 0r corpora sn t® construct or instAll within the City of River- side any pipe lime for the emnveyance of any liquid or has into ®r through the City ®f Riverside unless such person, firm or corporation shall first have obtained a permit for such con.- structimn or installation from the Board ®f Aledermen of the City. SECTION 2. All applications fer such permits shall be accompanied Ty detailed plans and specifieati®ns showing the location, depth and construction detail ®f the proposed pip• line. SECTION 3. All such applicants shall indicate their aecep once o~11e fmllotvinQ conditions upon which all such per- ;nits shall issue; (a ). Applicant shall pay the City Enr~ineer, Actin? City Enmineer or such assistant as may be designated by him, a reason- able, fee for engineering inspection and such other services as they may require. (b ). Applicant shall restore all streets ane~ roads to as ~*oo!i condition as existed prior to the installation of the pipe line. (c), Applicant shall be respmnsible f®r the maintenance of pr®per barricades, warning lights, suns and flagmen if doomed necessary by the City ~gineer or Acting City Engineer for the protection of the public. (d). If any proposed installation shall be under or nose any levee or r®ad applicant shall agree that earth-fill may be placed over said pipe line where nece:~sary in the construction or maintenance of such levee or roaal. (e). Applicant shall pay t® the City .Collector a suan equal t® 54.00 per mils for each 3iameter inch of said pipe line. SECTION ~.}. The provisions of this ®rdinance shall not apply to any company in the c®urso cf its operations under the terms of any franchise which it has been granted by the City of Riverside. SECTION 5. All persons violating the terms of this ordinance shall be liable t® arrest and fine of not more them X100.00 and costs and each day upon which work is continued wrS.th- out a perrm?.t shall be d~semed to constitute a separate offense.
