HomeMy WebLinkAbout1958-0329 - Fees for Public Hearings and ProposalsBILL N0. ~ 9 ORDINANCE N0. ~~ AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT AIVY PERSON DESIRING THAT PROCEDURE BE INSTITUTED AS PROVIDED BY ORDINANCE N0. 34 OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS AS TO A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO SAID ORDINANCE N0. 34, SHALL FIRST DEPOSIT ALONG WITH THE REQUEST OR PROPOSAL FOR SUCH AMENDMENT, A SUM OF MONEY WITH THE CITY Q,ERK IN A SUFFICIENT AMOUNT TO PAY ALL COST] OF PUBLICATION INCURRED FUR NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS BEFORE THE ZONING COMMISSION AND FOR NOTICE OF PUBLIC I-IEARING BEFORE THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN ON SUCH PROPOSED AMEND- MENT; AND PROVIDING THAT SUCH PORTION OF SAID DEPOSIT AS SHALL BE NECESSARY SHALL BE USED TO PAY SUCH PUBLICATION COSTS, AND THE BALANCE REMAINING IF ANY, SHALL BE REFUNDED TO SAID DEPOSITOR,. AND STiALL APPLY TO ALL PUBL1'C IiEl.RI2~GS RECLIJIRING PUBLICATION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Before any action shall be taken upon any petition or proposal by any person for any amendment to Ordinance No. 34 of the City of Riverside, such person desiring such amendment shall deposit, along with the petition or proposal for such amendment, with the City Clerk of the City of Riverside, a sum of money in sufficient amount to pay all costs of publication which shall be incurred by the City of Riverside in giving public notice of the public hearings before the Zoning Commission and the Board of Aldermen, as provided by said Ordinance No. 34 on such proposed amendment. Section 2. much person, upon depositing such sum of money, shall be deemed to agree that the City Clerk shall use such portion of said deposit as shall be necessary to pay all the aforesaid costs of publication incurred, and the balance of said deposit, if any, following the payment of such publication costs, shall be refunded by the City Clerk to the depositor thereof.
