HomeMy WebLinkAbout1962-330-R1 - Repeal Ordinance 330BILL N0. .3 3 y l~- ~ ORDINANCE N0. .33 v ~ ~ AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 330 OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI AND PRESCRIBING REGULATIONS IN LIEU THEREOF TO BE COMPLIED WITH BY THE KEEPERS OF BILLIARD OR POOL TABLES WITHIN THE CITY AND PRESCRIBING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THE TERMS HEREOF AND FOR THE REVOCATION OF LICENSE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 330 of the City of Riverside, Missouri is hereby repealed and the following provisions enacted in lieu thereof. SECTION 2. All persons keeping or permitting to be kept in premises under their control any billiard or pool table for use by members of the general public shall comply in all respects with the following rules: (a) All such tables shall bekept in a room which shall have not less than twelve square feet of clear glass in the wall fronting upon the street or sidewalk and which will afford a clear view into the interior of said room from such public street or sidewalk. Such room shall have an entrance from such public street or sidewalk. (b) All such roomsshall be kept well lighted dur- ing all times that said tables shall be either in use or available for use by .members of the public. (c) No gambling of any sort shall be permitted in the roam in which such tables are kept, nor shall any betting be permitted in connection with the use of such tables. (d) In the event any of said tables are kept in a room, building or establishment which adjoines and connects with, by a door or other passage, to an establishment, building or room where intoxicating liquors or non-intoxicating liquors or beer is sold, minors under the age of twenty-one years shall not be permitted to use such tables or be allowed to enter such roam. (e) The consumption of any beverage containing alcohol in excess of 1% by volume shall not be permitted in any room in which such tables are kept. (f) In the event any of said tables are kept in a room, building or establishment which adjoints and connects with by a door or other passage, a roam, building or establishment where intoxicant liquor or non-intoxicant liquor or beer is sold or served, said door or other passage shall be closed and secured during such times as the sale of intoxicating liquor or non-intoxicating liquor or beer shall be prohibited by Statutes of the State of Missouri or by Ordinances of the City of Riverside, Missouri. SECTION 3. Any person violating the terms of this ordinance shall be subject to arrest and upon conviction shall be subject to a fine of not more than $100.00 or thirty (30) days imprisonment in the City Jail, or both such fine or imprisonment and costs.
