AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING PREREQUISITE REQUIREMENTS
FOR ISSUANCE OF A PERMIT FOR SANITARY SE111ER CONSTRUCTION AND
CONNECTION INTO PUBLIC SEWAGE SYSTEM.
BE TT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOIIRI, AS FC?LLOVJS ;
Section 1. No permit shall be issued to construct any
sanitary sewer lines and connect same into the cityts public
sewage system or the sewer system of Kansas City, Missouri
in the limits of Riverside, unless the following requirements
have been Pulfilled by the applicant therefor:
(e) A written application shall have been filed
with the City Clerk on a form to be furnished
by the city on which is set forth the
approximate locationn° length and number of
sewer connection wyes to be provided; the
approximate location from existing manholes
where a connection is proposed to be made to the
existing sewage system; and such other infor-
mation as shall be required by the City
Engineer or Acting City Engineer.
(b) Such application shall contain the representation
and agreement of the applicant to accept the pro-
visions of the "Cooperative Agreement for
Reciprocal Sewer Servieee entered into between'
the City and the City of Kansas City, Missouri,
aa~ authorized by Ordinance No. 343-1 of the C$ty,
and to pay all sewer service charges as may be
assessed by the City Prom time to time, and to
furnish to the City upon completion of such
sewer construction and prior to usage thereof,
TMas-built plans prepayed~by applicantts engineer
upon standard size sheets, as determined by the
City Engineer or Acting City Engineer, showing
in detail the location of all house connections
wyes in distance from manholes whether house
connection are actually connected or wyes in-
serted for future use.
(c) Such application shall be accompanied by plans
and profiles, covering the proposed construction
prepared by an engineer registered under the laws

(d) Such application shall be accompanied by a
a plication Pee in the amount oP Fifty Dollars
(50.00) for proposed sewers of less than 1000
lineal Peet in length plus ten cents (x.10) per
lineal foot for all leri$tha in ®xcess of 1000
feet. This application fee shall be for the pur-
pose of reimbursing the City for its post Por
engineering review of the plena submitted by the C;fir

during the construction period~~ar~~ ~ ~in ~.nspec-
tion of the work upon completion of the construc-
tion. If a hermit is refused to the applicant
fifty per Dent (50~) of such application'Pee shall
be refunded to the applicant by the City.

(e) The proposed construction shall be in compliance
as determined by the City Engineer or Acting City
Engineer with the ordinances of the City as to
minimum construction standards :for sanitary sewers,
and the requirements of the "Cooperative Agreement
For Reciprocal Sewer Service" entered into between
the City and the City of Kansas City, Missouri, as
authorized by Ordinance No. 343-1 of the City.
(f) No permit shall be issued until approval of plans
and specifications as to compliance with said
"Cooperative Agreement For Reciprocal Sewer Service"
shall have been received from the Director of the
Pollution Control Department of Kansas City,
Missouri or his duly authorized representative.
(g) Applications for connection into the main Line
Creek sewer constructed by Kansas City shall be
accompanied by an additional fee in an amount equal
to the then usual charge of the City of Kansas City
for an inspection fee for connection into a main
sewer. This additional fee shall be by the City of
Riverside paid to the City of Kansas City.
