This agreement executed on this ~O~day of w , 19~,
by the State Highway Commission of P•7issouri, hereinafter called
"Commission", and the City of Riverside, hereinafter called TMAgency'~:
Because of the construction of a relocated section of high:aay,
Conunissior~ no longer conside*~s :i. t• economically feasible to maintain a
section of state. high:•ray designated as follovrs:

as shovrn on Exhibit 4-B attached hereto and made a part hereof, said
section of highway generally extending from the existing business 71
old Station 253+14 southwest to Route I-635 anal fro;n Route I-635 east
to existing business 71 old Station 2'l$+66.1. However, because of a
desire of Agency to maintain said section of highway to provide ser-
vice to certain areas, Commission. will retain said Y:igh~rray so long as
Agency, with its own forces or by contract, shall provide reasonable
maintenance thereon in a manner similar to otYier highvrays maintained
by Agency in ±he area.
In the event said highway is not maintained in an acceptable
manner by Agency, then Coi~.~ii.ssion. may, after 60-day notice to Agency
of its intention to do so, terminate this maintenance agreement and
abandon the right-of-way for said highvray, so that same may be disposed
of by Co,~unission in the manner provided by lavr.
In the event Agency shall find that there is no longer cause for
maintenance of the section of highv:ay herein involved, and sY~all so
advise Con~,mission, Co;~u-ission will then advise Agency of the date on
which maintenance may terminate, such date to be within 90 days from
receipt of such notice froir, the Agency to the Corr,~nission.
This contr. act is executed under authority of Section 31, Artic~_e
14, Constitution of .L;ssouri, 19t~5, authorizing maintenance of state
hi.gh~rays b;~• poli.tical suodivi.sions.
