HomeMy WebLinkAbout1952-18 - Prescribing Number of 3.2% Malt Liquor By the Drink Licenses Issued in RiversideBILL NO. 18 ORDINANCE NO. 18 AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING THE NUMBER OF 3.2% LIQUOR LICENSES FOR SALE BY THE DRINK THAT SHALL BE ISSUED IN ANY YEAR BY THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That it is deemed to the best interests of the City of Riverside and necessary for the preservation of the public morals, safety and general wellare of the citizens of Riverside, that the number of establishments holding occupation licenses for the sale of malt liquor containing not more than 4% alcohol by volume be limited to not more than the number of licenses now issued. Section 2. There shall not be issued in any calendar year more than eight occupation licenses for the sale of malt liquor containing not more than 4% alcohol by volume. Section 3. Each holder of an occupation license for the sale of such malt liquor shall be entitled to a renewal of his license for each calendar year provided he has continually operated his business and further provided that he makes proper and timely application for the renewal thereof, pays all fees prescribed by ordinance and has complied with all of the applicable ordinances of the City of Riverside in the operation of its said business.
