HomeMy WebLinkAbout1952-56 Prohibiting Drinking of Intoxicating Beverages on Public Streets or Other Public Premises and Providing Penalty for Violation ThereofBILL NO. 56 ORDINANCE NO. 56 AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE DRINKING OF INTOXICATING BEVERAGES ON THE PUBLIC STREETS OR OTHER PUBLIC PREMISES IN THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. It is hereby decreed to be unlawful for any person to drink any intoxicating beverages on any public street, sidewalk, way or other public premises whether such person be a pedestrian or driver or passenger in any vehicle. Section 2. Violation of the terms of this ordinance shall be punishable by fine not to exceed One Hundred (v100.00) Dollars or imprisonment in the city jail, or county jail if there be no city jail, not to exceed ninety (90) days, or both such fine and imprisonment, and costs.
