AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE MAINTENANCE OF ANY PUBLIC NUISANCE
WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE AND PROVIDING
FOR THE ABATEMENT OF ANY SUCH NUISANCE AT THE EXPENSE OF THE
PERSON, FIRM OR CORPORATION MAINTAINING SUCH NUISANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDP281.MOF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The existence or maintenance of a public
nuisance of any kind or character within the city limits of
the City of Riverside is hereby made unlawful and prohibited.
Any person, firm or corporation who shall permit the existence
of a public nuisance upon the premises owned or controlled by
them, and all persons who maintain such a nuisance shall
have the duty to abate such nuisance at once.
Section 2. All nuisances are subject to be abated
by order of the Board of Aldermen. Any person, firm or
corporation whose duty it is to abate a nuisance under the
terms of this ordinance and who refuse to do so after notice
given by the city, shall be liable for the costs of abating
the nuisance by the city and the city may recover in a civil
action any sums of money necessarily expended in abating such nuisance.
