AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING THE NUMBER OF PACKAGE LIQUOR LICENSES
FOR THE SALE OF PACKAGE LIQUOR THAT SHALL BE ISSUED IN ANY
YEAR BY THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That it is deemed to the best interests
of the City of Riverside and necessary for the preservation
of the public morals, safety and general welfare of the
citizens of Riverside that the number of establishments
holding occupation licenses for the sale of liquor in the
original package be limited to not more than the number of
such establishments now selling package liquor within the
city limits of the City of Riverside under proper occupation licenses therefor.
Section 2. There shall not be issued in any calendar
year more than four occupation licenses for the sale of package liquor.
Section 3. Each holder of an occupation license for the
sale of such package liquor shall be entitled to a renewal of
his license for each ensuing calendar year provided he has
continually operated his business and further rpovided that
he makes proper and timely application for the renewal thereof,
pays all fees, prescribed by ordinance, and has complied with
all of the applicable ordinances of the City of Riverside in
the operation of his said business.
