HomeMy WebLinkAbout1952-68A Appointing Judges for Special Election on December 2, 1952, to Submit to Qualified Voters Proposal to Extend Boundaries, Providing Pay for JudgesBILL NO. 68A ORDINANCE NO. 68A AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING JUDGES FOR THE SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, ON DECEMBER 2, 1952, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE. QUALIFIED VOTERS A PRO- POSAL TO EXTEND THE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE; PROVIDING FOR PAY FOR SUCH JUDGES; AND PROVIDING THAT SUCH JUDGES SHALL ALSO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF CLERKS OF ELECTION. BE IT,ORDAT NED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The following persons are hereby appointed as judges of election in their respective wards for the special election to be held in the City of Riverside, Missouri, on the 2nd day of December, 1952, at which election a proposal to extend the city limits of the City of Riverside, Missouri, shall be submitted to the qualified voters of said city for their approval: First Ward: Mrs. Lloyd Eskridge Mrs. Alfred Bally Mrs. Winston Klamm Second Ward: Mrs. F. F. Filger, Sr. Mrs. John W. Brenner Mrs. Mattie Knoth Third Ward: Mrs. Alva Daniels Mrs. Raymond Brophy Mrs. D. B. Swetnam Section 2. The said judges thus appointed shall perform all the duties of both the judges of election and clerks of election as prescribed in the state election laws. Section 3. Each of said judges shall receive the sum of $5.00 as pay for his services to be rendered as judge of election. Passed this 18th day of November, 1952. /s.
