A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF FORD F-550 ACCESSORY
EQUIPMENT FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE APPROVED BUDGET AND COOPERATIVE PURCHASING CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has identified a accessory equipment
(truck bed, material spreader, prewet system, central hydraulic system, hoist, and snow
blade) for the 2027 Ford F-550 cab and chassis unit available through American
Equipment Co. using a cooperative purchasing contract administered by the Mid-America
Regional Council (MARC); and
WHEREAS , the adopted 2026-2027 fiscal year budget included $78,000.00 for the
purchase price of the Accessory Equipment; the total cost of the Ford F-550 Accessory Equipment is $58,965.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT the Board of Aldermen hereby approves the purchase of the accessory
equipment (truck bed, material spreader, prewet system, central hydraulic system, hoist,
and snow blade) for the 2027 Ford F-550 cab and chassis unit from American Equipment
Co. in the amount of $58,965.00 pursuant to the MARC cooperative purchasing contract,
and that the Mayor, City Administrator, or their designee is authorized to execute any and
all documents necessary to complete the purchase of the vehicle and to take such further
actions as may be necessary to implement the intent of this Resolution; and
FURTHER THAT the Mayor, the City Administrator, and other appropriate City
officials are hereby authorized to take any and all actions as may be deemed necessary
or convenient to carry out and comply with the intent of this Resolution and to execute
and deliver for and on behalf of the City all certificates, instruments, agreements, and
other documents, as may be necessary or convenient to perform all matters herein authorized.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
Missouri, the 7th day of July 2026.
