They should have installed dampers and each branch so they should be able to adjust the airflow. If that is not providing adequate air movement there are two options of progressively more cost: o Add an oscillating wall mounted fan in each restroom. This will help with stagnant air by destratification however it does not move air through the space. o Add another exhaust fan on the roof to increase the volume of air moving through the space. • Regarding the hose bibs that were installed, HBE provided the following comments. I would agree that what was bid is not what was submitted and installed and there are two locations that were not installed at all. o Looking at Grainger for pricing, the B24 hose bib in box, $680 and looking at Fer guson for pricing for the Prier hose bib, $50. We called for 5 to be installed but only 3 were installed. They did not install the hose bibs in the universal bathrooms. 2 of the 3 were the Prier models, 1 of them appears to be of quality you'd find off of the Home Depot shelf, $8. o I'm not sure how to quantify a dollar amount for the labor associated with two that were not installed but on a material basis only, I believe a minimum of $3,292 would be reasonable plus any labor associated with the two that are missing. ■ What was specified and bid: 1 ■ What has been installed: o At this point, my (SFS) recommendation regarding the hose bibs would be: ■ RCS offer the City of Riverside a credit for the difference in material cost for what was specified/bid vs what was installed and a labor credit for the two that were not installed at all. ■ If tampering and security is an issue, modify the existing handles so that it requires a tool to use the hydrants. But we were unaware that instead of a standard sump pump in the manhole you have a Waste Water system in place, which includes 2 larger pumps, floats, and the accompanying electrical. With this being the case our plans and specs only included a standard sump pump opposed to the waste water system. I believe we have a couple of options that I have stated below. • Option 1-Have Martin give the city a credit back for what was in the bid for a standard sump pump o I would assume a few hundred dollars for this work • Option 2-Change order to replace the Waste Water system o I can get a quote from Martin to give you an idea of price and process required I know currently the system isn't working, we can have the electrician check to see if the power is working or if the pumps still operate.
