OF CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI
MAY 3, 1983
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of
Riverside, Mo. was held in the City Hall in Riverside on May 3,
1983, at 7:30 p.m. On a roll call, aldermen Karr, Gordy, Rodeberg,
Peeler, Wedua and Brenner were present, Mayor Holmes calling said
meeting to order.
Kathie J. Rule, Route #1, Box 460, Liberty, MO presented ap-
plication for business license for Corner Cafe, 4531 N.W. Gateway.
The application was approved subject to the approval by the Platte
County Health Officer and the payment of the fee.
Don Supinger, 8327 N. Pontiac, Kansas City, MO 64151, present-
ed application for Mobile Home Sales and Service at 4403 N.W. Gate-
way. This matter was discussed. His plot plan for the way the
trailers were to be placed was examined and it was decided by the
Board that more space should be left vacant at the junction of
Woodland and N.W. Gateway.
Peeler moved that Don Supringer's application be approved
with the following to be adhered to:
1. Ten trailer limit - this will be checked out to see how
it. works.
2. Any used trailers are to be parked north of the building
and east of the front line. of the bui.ldling, per plan.
3. A double wide mobile is to be considered two units and
there shall be no more than ten units.
4. Flood elevation is to be furnished (a research is to be
made to see if there are any flood regulations - the area
may or may not be in the flood-way).
5. The business building is on the public sewer.
6. There shall be no free standing buildings or sheds.
7. The premises must be kept neat and orderly, including
the mowing on the east end of the lot.
8. No mobile homes are to be moved in until the partially
burned home is removed from the premises.
9. The dumpster for the trash will be placed near. the rear
of the building.
seconded by Wedua, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
Karr, Gordy, Rodeberg, Peeler, Wedua and Brenner voted aye.
Ray Parsley, 5522 Verlin Drive, Parkville, M0. presented ap-
plication for house on Lots 19 and 20 in Indian Hills First Addi-
tion. Said application was approved.
Winston Peeler, 3005 Florence Road, Riverside, M0. presented

application for building a house at 4600 N.W. Pawnee Drive. The
-- application was approved subject to the payment of the fee.
John and Virginia Scott were present as spectators.
A letter dated April 29, 1983, inviting the City for a
tour of Wolf Creek Power Plant on June 17, 1983.
The Board decided to have Ken Pettit spray the mosquitoes
and the City pay for the spray. It was suggested to start immeditely
on the spraying and that it be done once a week.
Mr. Mendenhall's project was discussed.
Mayor Holmes made the following appointments:
Loo Rodeberg on the Public Safety Committee.(Holmes, Gordy,
Peeler and Rodeberg).
Planning Commission - Karr and Brenner - alternates.
Road Committee - Winston and Wedua
Finance Committee - Rodeberg, Brenner and Karr
It was announced that on May 17, 1983, there will be a
proposed Use Hearing on Revenue Sharing, and May 10, there will a meet-
-- ing on the budget.
Jimmy Nelsen requested permission to go to the Missouri
Court Conference on May 19 and 20, 1983, she would stay one night,
the City to pay expenses far gas and food.
It was announced that the Arts and Crafts show would be
May 21, 1983, and the City gave permission for signs to be put up.
There being no further business, upon motion made, seconded
and passed, meeting adjourned at 10:10 p.m.
