BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI
JULY 5, 1983
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City
of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside
on July 5, 1983, at 7:30 p.m. On a roll call, aldermen Karr,
Gordy, Rodeberg, Peeler, Wedua and Brenner were present, Mayor
Holmes calling said meeting to order.
Minutes of June 21, 1983, were read and approved.
Minutes of June 28, 1983, were read and approved as corrected.
Hshan Act's Solimon, 4435 ::.W. Gateway, presented application
for Exterior Decorative at same address. Said application
was approved subject to the payment of the fee.
Concerning the trees in Line Creek which have fallen,
Garnet' Companies, Inc. brought one of its machines and tried
to remove the trees, and was.4J% unsuccessful. It was suggested
to try Hagger and Belger to see what the cost would be for
their removal of the trees.
Gene Wheeler spoke to the Mayor and Board concerning the ex-
perience he has had with certain types of zonings. He under-
stood Riverside wanted the area of Messrs. Brown and Purcell
(Riverside Business Park) to be zoned something between Commer-
cial and Industrial. He suggest two ways, 1) Planned Industrial;
and 2) Performance Standards. These two suggestions were
discussed along with other suggested ways to zone the area.
A recess was called. Meeting reconvened. On a roll call,
Aldermen Karr, Gordy, Rodeberg, Peeler, Wedua and Brenner
were present, Mayor Holmes presiding over remainder of meeting.
A further discussion was had concerning the zoning of the
Riverside Business Park. The performance standards or bulk
uses were read and discussed also noise, dust, odor, etcl was
discussed.
Attorney Don Witt brought up the matter of the Red House
and said this problem would probably clear itself up by the
first part of November.
The Mayor and Board of Aldermen went into executive session.
The meeting reconvened. On a roll call., Aldermen Karr,
Gordy, Rodeberg, Peeler, Wedua and Brenner were present, Mayor
Holmes presiding over remainder of meeting.
A written resignation b Rev. Goode Volunteer Chaplain for the
Public Safety Department, da~ed. July 1, X983 was read and accepted
with regrets.
It was agreed to by the Board of Aldermen that Chief of
Wingo can permit one of the Public Safety Officers to mow the
grass at the rate of pay that he receives on duty; this is
on a one time basis only. (The reason for this is because
of the a Bence o our maintenance employee).
There being no further business, upon motion made, seconded
and passed, meeting adjourned at 2:30 a.m. July 6, 1983 ~
