HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-10-11MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI OCTOBER 11, 1983 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of River- side, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on October 11, 1983, at 7:30 p.m. On a roll call, aldermen Karr, Gordy, Peeler, Wedua and Brenner present, Mayor Holmes calling said meeting to order. It was decided to dispense with the readinig of the minutes of October 4, 1983. Messrs. Daniel S. Peak, Larry Adams, Charles R. Logan, Lloyd Brown, John Brown and Mike Purcell were present, representing Riverside Business Park, Elca Enterprises and Unique Investment Company. It appeared that Riverside Business Park people had presented several drawings concerning the area to be developed; that the drainage ditch was discussed and the City thought that a concrete paved bottom of the ditch could possible be better to maintain; however the Riverside Business Park people said that they would put the whole drainiage ditch on the Business Park property; that they, their assigns or heirs would maintain the ditch, and there would be no liability on the part of Riverside, this would be worked out with the City Attorney. Wedua moved that the City accept the drainage plans as presented with the drainage ditch being Boded, seconded by Karr, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-abstain; Wedua-yes; Peeler-abstain; Gordy-abstain; and Karr-yes. The drainage ditch was discussed further. Wedua moved that the drainage plan as proposed and reviewed by the City Engineer and the restrictions placed thereon as reviewed by the City Attorney, all pertaining to the drainage of Riverside Business Park be accepted as presented, seconded by Karr, the roll was called and all voted in favor. The Mayor and Board explained to the Riverside Business Park people that so there would be no misunderstanding the City requires a sewage plan for the Park, showing where the sewage lines are for the complete Park area and where they hook into the main sewer system, and the condition of receiving this approved plan by the City Engineer within 30 days from this date would be placed on any approval of building applications. Karr moved that the application of Unique Investment Co. on Lot ~ of Riverside Business Park for a building be approved ~~ subject to a complete drawing of the layout of the sewer system be presented and approved by the City Engineer within 30 days of this date and that the building be painted or have some decorative ~~ finish on the outside, seconded by Gordy, the roll. was called and votes were as follows: Brenner, Wedua, Peeler, Gordy and Karr voted aye. Ka rr moved that the City approve the building application of Elca Company for the building on Lot No. 1 of the Riverside Minutes of Reg. Meeting Page 2, Oct. 11, 1983 Business Park subject to a complete drawing of the layout of the sewer system be presented and approved by the City Engineer V~ within 30 days of this date and that the building be painted ~,~ or have some decorative finish on the outside, seconded by Gordy, the roll was called and Brenner, Wedua, Peeler, Gordy and Karr voted aye. City Attorney Don Witt informed the Mayor and Board that with regard to the Red House situation, it appears the people have requested a 60-day extension on the time or until January 1, 1984, to stay in the Red House for the reason that the place they are moving to will not be completed until that date. The Mayor and Board agreed to this extension of time. There being no further business, upon motion made, seconded and passed, meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m. ~-~~
