HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-07-13MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI JULY 13, 1982 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri, was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri, on July 13, 1982, at 7:30 p.m. On a roll call, aldermen West, Scudder, Rodeberg, Peeler, Karr and Gordy were present, Mayor Holmes calling said meeting to order. It was decided to dispense with the reading of theminutes of July 6, 1982. Bob Miller of Getty Refining and Marketing Company, P.O. Box 1650, Tulsa, OK 74102 presented two sign applications, one would be a free standing sign and the other would be on the building. The applications were approved subject to the payment of the fee. Ray Calkins, attorney representing Eli Truesdale appeared before the Mayor and Board to discuss further the liquor license of Sam and Jeanne B. Blasco at 2703 West Platte Road. After a discussion, Scudder moved that the City accept the resolution pertaining to the changing of the name of the liquor license of Sam And Jeanne Blasco to Eli Char- coal Broil Inc. and change the managing officer to Eli Truesdale, second- ed by Karr, the roll was called and votes were as follows: West, Scudder, Rodeberg, Peeler, Karr and Gordy voted aye. Bill Woodside was present to discuss the building application he had presented. This matter was discussed at length and there appeared be nothing in the Floor Ordinance that could permit the building ~f this type building at the location. It was suggested to look into the flood proofing. Bill Woodside said he wanted to look into the var- iance. It was brought out that there would be a $75.00 fee from J. Finnegan to be split between the Cities he represented with regard to Missouri Cities Water Company's application before the Missouri Public Service Commission. Guide lines were discussed for changing the present liquor ordinance and are to be studied and suggestions made, if any. Chief Wingo requested that Doyle Odom be paid one week of his two weeks vacation and taking the second week off with pay, in lieu of his taking both weeks off with pay. Scudder moved that the City accept the recommendation of Chief Wingo to pay Doyle Odom one week's vacation of his two weeks in lieu of his taking both weeks off with pay, seconded by West, the roll was called and votes were as follows: West, Scudder, Rodeberg, Peeler, Karr and Gordy voted aye. There being no further business, upon motion made, seconded and passed, meeting adjourned at 1:00 a.m. July 14, 1982. ,~/~~ ~-
