HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-01-19MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOSURI - January 19, 1982 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri, was held on January 19, 1982, at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall in Riverside. On a roll call, aldermen West, Scudder, Peeler and Holmes were present, Rodeberg and Campbell absent. The minutes of January 5, 1982 were read and approved as corrected. Wesley Pierson, 3600 N. Belfountain, K.C., MO 64102 and his attorney J. W. Jensen, 1020 Traders Ank Bld K. C., MO 64105 were present and stated that the City's s~'have given them some ideas on the---iFmprovement of Belton Street in Seven Oaks Addition and they have some ideas, all of which they have not had time to study and would like to be on the agenda at the next regular meeting, which was agreeable to the Mayor and Board. Carl Staffan, 10005 Mirror Lake Ct., Kansas City, MO 64152, presented application for "C M Staffan Realty" at 2625 West Platte Road. The application was approved and he was reminded that if he wished to place any signs on the exterior that he would have to present his plans before the Planning Commission and then to the Board. John Keane, 3501 East 207th Terrace, Kansas City, Missouri was present as a spectator. -~ A recess was had. Meeting reconvened, the roll was called and West, Scudder, Peeler and Holmes were present, Rodeberg and Campbell absent; Mayor Brenner preciding over remainder of meeting. Scudder moved that the Mayor's recommendation of the following people be on the Planning Commission and serve the term as set out: Bill Bright - 1-1-83 John Blogin - 1-1-84 Robert Gieseke - 1-1-84 Gleh Hohimer 1-1-84 Jim Karr 1-1-83 Barbara Craig - 1-1-86 Louarn Layton 1-1-83 Rose Sellick 1-1-86 Cecil King - 1-1-86 Bill Hall 1-1-85 Joan Smith 1-1-85 Gary Brenner - 1-1-85 Irene Paulhe (Representative of City) - 1-1-83 seconded by West, the roll was called and votes were as follows: West, Scudder, Peeler and Holmes voted aye; Rodeberg and Campbell absent. A discussion was had pertaining to the Audit of the City's Books. West moved that the City accept the Financial Statement and Audit of the City's Audit for the year July 1, 1980 to June 30, 1981, seconded by Scudder, the roll was called and votes were as follows: West, Scudder Peeler and Holmes voted aye, Rodeberg and Campbell absent. Scudder moved that Bill D-82-5 being bill providing for the appro- priation of money out of the general fund of the City for the payment ~f certain indebtedness as listed therein be placed on its first reading, aconded by West, the roll was called and votes were as follows: West, Scudder, Peeler and Holmes voted aye, Rodeberg and Campbell absent.
