CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI
OCTOBER 20, 1981
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside
Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside on October 20, 1981,
at 7:30 p.m. On a roll call, Aldermen West, Scudder, Rodeberg, Peeler,
Holmes and Campbell were present. In the absence of Mayor Brenner,
Peeler being Mayor Pro Tem, called said meeting to order.
The minutes of October 13, 1981, were read and approved as correct-
ed.
Ken Brown, representing Southern Platte County JC's presented
application for a Haunted House at the Fun House Pizza building on
Northwest Gateway, said application was approved.
Curtis S. Sullivan, 2707 Vivion presented application for sign
at the same location. This was recommended for approval by the Plann-
ing Commission. The Board approved sign applicatin subject to the
payment of the fee.
Kenneth Norling, 3205 Cerrito Lane presented his application for
remodeling permit at the same location. This matter was recommended
for approval by the Planning Commission. The application was approved
subject to the payment of the fee. It was recommended to Mr. Norling
that he check the 7-Oaks Subdivision restrictions for his own protection.
Rodeberg informed the Board that she is still working on securing
__ the appraisal of certain property within the City of Riverside, and
thought this information would be available by the next meeting.
The Finance Committee reported the following bids were received
on the City's money:
Riverside Bank $100,000 6 months - 14%
1 year - 13.8%
West Port Bank $300,000 6 months - 14.80%
KCI Bank $100,000 90 days - 14.5%
Metro North Any amount($100,000.to 90 days - 13.877%
($300,000) 180 days - 13.753%
-270 days - 13.677%
One year - 13.627%
Platte County Bank $300,000 90 days - 13.85%
180 days - 14.10%
United Missouri $300,000 One year - 15.25%
Scudder moved that the City accept the report of the Finance Com-
mittee, seconded by Rodeberg, the roll was called and votes were as
follows: West, Scudder, Rodeberg, Holmes and Rodeberg voted aye; Peeler
being Mayor Pro Tem.

West moved that Bill No. D-81-36 being bill designating the United
Missouri Bank of Kansas City NA as a depositor for the City of River-
side, Missouri for $300,000 at the rate of interest of 15.25% for the
period of one year, seconded by Scudder, the roll was called and votes
were as follows: West, Scudder, Rodeberg, Holmes and Campbell voted
aye; Peeler being Mayor Pro Tem, said bill was accordingly read.
Scudder moved that Bill No. D-81-36 be placed on its second read-
ing, seconded by Rodeberg, the roll was called and votes were as fol-
lows: West, Scudder, Rodeberg, Holmes and Campbell voted aye; Peeler
being Mayor Pro Tem, said bill was accordingly read.
Rodeberg moved that Bill No. D-81-36 be placed on its third reading
and upon passage of same become Ord. No. D-81-36, seconded by Scudder,
the roll was called and votes were as follows: West, Scudder, Rodeberg,
Holmes and Campbell voted aye; Peeler being Mayor Pro Tem, said bill
was accordingly read, attached hereto and made a part hereof, approved
by Mayor Pro Tem Peeler and became Ordinance No. D-81-36.
There being no further business, upon motion made, seconded and
passed, meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
