ALDERMEN OF CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI
JANUARY 6, 1981
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
Missouri, was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on January
6, 1981, at 7:30 p.m. On a roll call, aldermen West, Scudder, Rodeberg,
Peeler and Holmes were present, Campbell absent, said meeting was called
to order by Mayor Brenner.
The minutes of December 16, 1980, were read and approved as corrected.
Larry Myers, 2312 N E 77th Street, Gladstone, MO., presented business
license application to resale motor vehicles at 4444 N.W. Gateway (north
of Dairy Queen). The matter of dust free parking area was discussed.
The Board advised that these licenses would be reviewed in six months
to see if the parking area conforms to the ordinance.
Nelson G. Downey, 3517 Jefferson, K. C., M0. presented application
for Riverside Hall at 4141 Riverside Drive, second floor. This is
to be a hall to rent for banquets, meetings, dances, etc. The matter
of parking area was discussed and Mr. Downey is to return with drawings
showing the parking area and what part of the parking area he will
be able to use for his part of the business.
Ron Brumley, 5109 N.W. 83rd Street, Kansas City, Missouri presented
occupation license application for Silk Screen Lettering at 2900 N.W.
Vivian Street (Jones Building). The application was approved subject
to the payment of the fee.

~- The Mayor and Board agreed to send out notices to the people with
signs inconsistent with the ordinance and signs which do not correspond
with the business or where there is no business at the present time
giving them 30 days in which to take care of the sign.
West moved that Bill No. D-81-1 being bill reinstating Woody Windburn
as public safety officer and same be placed on its first reading, seconded
by Scudder, the roll was called and votes were as follows: West, Scudder,
Rodeberg, Peeler, and Holmes voted ~}e, Campbell absent, said bill was
accordingly read.
Scudder moved that Bill No. D-81-1 be placed on its second reading,
seconded by Rodeberg, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
West, Scudder, Rodeberg, Peeler, and Holmes voted aye; Campbell absent;
said bill was accordingly read.
Rodeberg moved that Bill NO. D-81-1 be placed on its third reading
and upon passage of same become Ordinance No. 81-1, seconded by West,
the roll was called and votes were as follows: West, Scudder, Rodeberg,
Peeler, and Holmes voted aye; Campbell absent; said bill was accordingly
read, attached hereto and made a part hereof, approved by Mayor Brenner
and became Ordinance N0. D-81-1.
There being no further business, upon motion made, seconded and
