CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI
October 14, 1980
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
Mo. was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Mo. on October 14, 1980,
at 7:30 p.m. On a roll call, aldermen West, Scudder, Peeler, Holmes
and Campbell were present, Rodeberg absent; said meeting was called
to order by Mayor Brenner.
Minutes of October 7, 1980 were read and approved as corrected.
West moved that Jerry Wingo's three weeks leave of absence be
rescinded and that he be returned to full time duty, seconded by Scudder,
the roll was called and votes were as follows: West, Scudder, Peeler,
Holmes and Campbell voted aye; Rodeberg absent.
Peelr reported on Northwood Road. He had contacted Ada Wilson
and was informed that after the members of the Parkville Special Road
District had looked over the surveyed area and saw where the center
of the road actually should be, they were in favor of having a survey
made showing the location of where the road is at the present time.
This is to be in drawing form. Mrs. Wilson was of the opinion that
they would be agreeable to payine one half of the cost, which is anticipat-
ed to be between $800 to $1000. Mrs. Wilson is to notify Peeler if
this is not agreeable to the Parkville Special Road District.
WEst moved that the City retain Larkin and Associates to prepare
a drawing showing the existing road layout with reference to the County
Lilne, showing the old road and utility poles by use (on the 1/4 Section
ine) and that the cost be shared by Riverside and the Parkville Special
_.oad District, seconded by Scudder, the roll was called and votes were
as follows: West, Scudder, Peeler, Holmes and Campbell voted aye;
Rodeberg absent.
Peeler presented certain data (copy attached hereto) which will
be given people who are interested in bidding on the Northwood Road.
There being no further business, upon motion made, seconded and
passed, meeting adjourned, at 7:50 p.m.

Start at a point on Northwood Road approximately 150' North of the driving
surface of~State Highway 9 (near the center of the first curve). Create
.a driving surface with a ditch on each side, as drawn on the sketch.
The road should join the North-South potion of Northwood Road causing as
gradual a curve as possible. Tt should radiate around the Intersection of
the line created by the telephone wires, and the North edge of the established
North boundry line of this area.
The North/South section line and a line 50' to the east have been established
The stakes 50' to the eastof the section line mark the far edge of the working
easement. The permanent easement ends 30' east of the sectionline (20' west of
the off set); however at certain points the telephone poles are farther east
than the permanent easement. At these points, the line created by the telephone
line will indicate the far east edge of the total road and drainage ditch. (As
drawing A.)
On the West side of the road there is a rock ledge, it should be left as vertical
as possible to keep the slope from its top edge to the edge of the West easement
as small as possible. The 5' of slope from the center of the bottom of the ditch
may be omitted along this area only (as on the drawing C).
All of the rock and dirt should be taken North to elevate the road over the new
5' diameter pipe. This should be placed in a workman like manner as to elevate
the road surface as much as possible in this low area. Any rock in the roadway
should be covered with dirt and have at least 2' of dirt over the top of it.

When the bidder has finished, the area should be left in a finished grade.
A Certificate of Liability Insurance will be required in an amount of $500,000.00
No money will be paid until the job is completed. qll bids should be sealed and
