BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MO
April 1, 1980
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri at 8:00 p.m.
On a roll call, aldermen Holmes, Peeler, Rodeberg, Brenner, Scudder
and West were present, Mayor Young calling said meeting to order.
The reading of the minutes was postponed for a while.
James J. Frank 4905 N. Merrimac, K. C., Mo. 64151, presented appli-
cation for license to operate Clay Platte Glass Service at 4400 N.W.
Gateway, Riverside, Missouri 64051, for installation of auto glass as
well as plate glass in buildings. (Previously D-X Service Station).
This application was approved subject to the payment of the fee.
Ckurtis N. Wendt, 7517 N. Tracy, Kansas City, Missouri 64118, pre-
sented application for Auto Repair and Light Welding at 4123 N.W. River-
side Street. This was approved subject to "ALL VEHICLES TO BE PARKED
ON DUST-FREE SURFACE", and subject to the payment of the fee.
Chief Wingo advised the Mayor and Board that Wm. ~r resigned his
position as a Public Safety Officer. ~~~~,
Brenner moved that the City accept Wm. Hgder's resignation as full
time officer and retain him as a reserve officer, seconded by Rodeberg,
the roll was called and votes were as follows: Holmes, Peeler, Rodeberg,
Brenner, Scudder, and West voted aye.
Rodeberg moved that Bill No. 80-7 being bill employing Doyle Odom
as Public Safety Officer, be placed on its first reading, seconded by
Scudder, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Holmes, Peeler,
Rodeberg, Brenner, Scudder, and West voted aye; said bill was accordingly
read.
Scudder moved that Bill No. 80-7 be placed on its second reading,
seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Holmes
Peeler, Rodeberg, Brenner, Scudder and West voted aye; said bill was
accordingly read.
West moved that Bill No. 80-7 be placed on its third reading and
upon passage of same become Ordinance No. 80-7, seconded by Scudder,
the roll was called and votes were as follows: Holmes, Peeler, Rodeberg,
Brenner, Scudder and West voted aye; said bill was accordingly read,
attached hereto and made a part hereof, approved by Mayor Young and became
ordinance No. 80-7.
The matter concerning amount of taxi cabs being parked at their
place of business is to be looked int r~
Scudder moved that Bill No. 80-8, being bill providing for payment
out of the general fund to McKay Inc. in the sum of $13,163.00 for
two Buick Automobiles for the Police Department be placed on its first
reading, seconded by West, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
Holmes, Peeler, Rodeberg, Brenner, Scudder and West voted aye, said bill
was accordingly read.

West moved that Bill 80-8 be placed on its second reading, seconded
by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Holmes, Peeler,
Brenner, Rodeberg, Scudder and West voted aye; said bill was accordingly
read.

Rodeberg reported on the City's census and even tho there are some
counts not in, to date she gave the following counts:

Single family & Duplexes 778

Mrs. Rodeberg is to be commended on the good work done in this regard.
There being no further business upon motion made, seconded and passed
meeting adjourned at 8:31 p.m.
