A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the'City_of Riverside, Missouri, was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri, on April 17, 1979, at 7:30 p.m. On a roll call, aldermen Holmes, Peeler, Rodeberg, Scudder, and West were present, Brenner absent. Mayor Young calling said meting to order. The minutes of April 3, 1979, were read and approved. The minutes of April 10, 1979, were_read and approved as corrected. Brenner present during the reading of the minutes of April 10, 1979. y2~~i~'s~~w~~aught out that Mr. Vaughn was also requested to speak on~stall~t~oY~' of • at the meeting of April 10, and this was brought out during the course of the meting. Marvin G. Shepherd, 4911 N.W. Gateway, Riverside, Mo. presented application to transfer his liquor license from the present place on North Platte Road (Cellar) to 2711 Vivian Road (presently Joe's Restaurant). Since this problem had not come up previously, it would-have to be discussed with the City Attorney and a search of the ordinances made. Mr. Shepherd is to return to the next meeting in May. The reason for his wanting to moue was because of the water coming into the building and also he thought he would do more business at the new location on Vivian Road. The parking situation was brought up and it was questioned whether or not there wauld be ample parking space. Brenner brought up the matter of drainage on Osage Circle and the repair of this street. He said that Chnuk McKeon was willing to give an easement to do the proper work to correct the situation. This matter would be looked into further and then the work is to be done. Brian Roberts, Jim Sutton and Geary Leggard, were present _ from Merrimac to see what could be done as soon as possible with regard to the drainage and 'Sewage problems. This matter is to be looked into immediately by the residents and also by the City ~~ Rodeberg reported that two of the five light have been installed. The other three are suppose to be done the following week. r V Reg. Meeting Page 2, April 17, 1979 Brenner moved that Bill No. 79-8 being bill providing for the appropriation of money out of the general fund of the City of Riverside, Missouri for the payment of certain indebtedness as listed therein be placed on its first reading, seconded by Rodeberg, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Holmes, Peeler, Rodeberg, Brenner, Scudder, and West voted aye, said bill was accordingly ~ ad. Rodeberg moved that Bill No. 798 be placed on its sew nd reading, seQnded by West, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Holmes, Reeler, Rodeberg, Brenner, Scudder and West voted aye; said bill was accordingly read. Scudder moved that Bill No.79-8 be placed on its thfEd reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. 79-8, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as foIlows: Holmes, Peeler, Rodeberg, Brenner, Scudder and West voted aye; said bill was accordingly read, attached hereto and made a part hereof, approved by Mayor Young and became Ordinance No. 79-8. ~-~-`C ~/. 2'~~~, / ~ Mayor Young announced tha~Mrs. Rodeberg received a let er from a resident in Indian Hills comp aining of the dogs running loose. Mayor Young is to investigat~othe manner in which the problem of dogs can be controlled and will advise the board of this procedure. The matter of certain expenses of the Boy Scouts was discussed and this matter will be looked into further. Mayor Young brought out that he talked to N.r. Sawyer who works for the Telephone Company and that they were going to increase the rate 40 cents per phone, and it is before the MPSC. Ntion made by Rodeberg, seconded by Brenner that meeting adjourn, roll called, Holmes, Peeler, Rodeberg, Brenner, Scudder, and West voted. Meeting adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
