CITY OF RIVERSIDE, MISSOURI
April 10, 1979
Mayor Young, that we dispense with the reading of the
minutes of April 3, 1979.
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City
of Riverside, Missouri, was held in the City Hall in Riverside,
Missouri, on April 10, 1979, at 7:30 P.M.

Scudder and Michael Holmes were then sworn into office. di.tid%f °f
Betty Burch, City Clerk read the results of the April 3, 1979,
election hereby certified by the Clerk of the County ourt, Joan
Cox. Ballots cast for John M. West for Aldermen 105, Vard I.
For Robert Scudder for Aldermen Ward II ballots cas ~r8. For
I is cast 68. Robert
The meeting was then called to order by Mayor Young, and those
present were Holmes, Brenner, Rodeberg, Scudder Peeler and West
absent.
Mayor Young, welcomed the people that where present for this
meeting. The attached list hereto are the citizens that attended.
Mayor Young, spoke to the group of people with regard to the
dog problem, general clean up of the street and it was the consensus
of the group that all had improved in the last two weeks.
Mayor Young, then asked Mr Ken Pettit of the Platte County
Health Dept. to speak with the group of citizens about tke~e~~c.w~
septic systems. The matter was discussed at length. Mr. Pettit
advised the group to form a Home Owners Assoc. to handle all problems
that had occurred during the last few years. There are about twenty
seven homes involved in this situation. Mr. Pettit is to try and
locate the original builders for these homes and try to secure more
information on 1-h~e ~'deptic systems .
A recess was called. Meeting reco vene~~d,,~~nd roll was called,
Holmes, Brenner, Rodeberg and Scudderj~es~N^a`rid Peeler absent. Mayor
Young presiding over remainder of meeting.
Mr. Kenneth Vaughn with Larkin and Assoc. was called on to
speak with the Board about Lake Waukomis dam. The matter was discussed
at length.
Rodeberg moved that the City approve the recommendation of
Gary Hohimer to hire Sean Deaton as reserve Public Safety Officer,
seconded by Scudder the roll was called and votes as follows: Holmes
Rodeberg, Brenner, Scudder voted aye: West and Peeler absent.
There being no further business upon motion made, seconded and
passed meeting adjourned at 10:30 p.m.
