_ A regtilar meeting of the Bossd of Aldermen of the City_o~ Riverside,
Missouri 4as held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri, on.Deceiml~er 20,.
1977, at 7:30 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen Rodeberg, Brenner,
Best,` Swam, and West. were present, Scudder, absent, Mayor Young Calling
said meeting to t3rder .
The: minutes of December 6, 1977, were read and approved as corrected.
Mel`'s Tow. Servi.ee..application was received by Melvin L. Kerr, 113 N.
W. 61st Teri. Gladstone, Missouri 64116, a letter was received from Alfred
Renner stating that they would Improve the property as the Board had
advised their attorney on December 6, 1977, said letter is attached hereto,
and made a part of the minutes. The application for the tow service
was approved subject to the payment of the fee. In this regard, Best moved
that th8 City acc ept Alfred Renner's letter. as per the Board's request
in order to grant occupation license to Mr. Kerr, seconded by Brenner, the
roll was calla d and votes were as followsa Rodeberg, Brenner, Best,
West and Swetnam voted ape; Scudder absent. (The above application was
only for an office and no inoperable or wrecked vehicles will be stored at
this location.
Julie Teng, 419 N.W. 43rd Terrace, Kansas City, Missouri64116, presented
~~ication for Beauty Shop at 2709 N.W..Vivian Road, there would bs a small
counter for gifts to be .sold, the license were approved subjectt~ the payment
of the.. fee.
Charlie W. Brown, 4427 B. Riverside, Missouri (Hon nrive) presented
application.,for Pyramid Communication, at 4435 N.W. Gateway, this application
was approved subject to the payment of the fee.
Cohn Campbell, presented drawings and application for the building
which he had moved into the City and was attaching same to his old building,
there were no objections to this, however it would have to be approved by
the Planning Commission and then bamng~}htback to the Board for approval.
Mike Moore of Missouri Cities Water Company and also Lynn Boltman of
Missouri Cities Water Company spoke with regard to the regulatory ordinance
on the breaking holes in tie streets and the permission'ao be obtained before
breaking holes in the streets. Other parts of the:Ordnanoeewere discussed.
Since the_Water Company is now in the process of placing a line on Riverside
Street, it was decided that the Board members and Gary Hohimer could meet
with them-and see what can be worked out. The Board is to discuss the
other parts of the Ordinance and then will mew with.:the.City Attorney,
.and the Water Company people.
A recess was called. Meeting reconvened. The roll was called,
Rodeberg, Brenner, Best, West and"Swetnam were present, Scudder absent;•
Mayor Young preeidirng over remainder of meeting.

Br~hner moved that Bill No. 77-22 being bill providing for the
appropriation of money out of the general fund of the City of Riverside,
Missouri--for the payment of certain indebtedness as listed therein
be placed on ~.ts first reading, seconded by West, the roll was called and
votes were as~follows: Rodeberg, Brenner, Best, West, Swet;iam voted aye;
Scudder absent; said bill was accordingly read.
Swetnam moved that Bill No. 77-22 be p]a ced on its second reading,
s econded by West, the roll was called and votes were ss follows: Rodeberg,
Brenner, Best, West and Swetnam voted aye; Scudder absent, said bill w as
accordingly read.
West moved that Bill No. 77-22 be placed on its third reading and upon
passage of same become Ord. No. 77-22, seconded by Rodeberg, the roll was
called and votes were as follows: Rodeberg, Brenner, Best, West and
Swetnam voted aye; Scudder absent, said biIl was accordingly read, approved
by Mayor Younq attached hereto andmade a part hereof and became Ord. No.
77-22.
Mayor Young said he had talked to Mr. Witt with regard to giving
temporary budding permits. He also said he and Gary Hohimer had talked
about getting the-rest rooms in the old part painted and spruced up. This
is to be dnn'e.
Best inqui~d with regard to a seaond ~nerson riding with Glenn Hohimer
when he is salting the streets or pushing snow off. It was the consensus
of the Board that when he needs a second man he should ask and there would
be no objections.
There being nofurther business, upon motion made, seanrded and passed,
