June 21, 1977 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of River- side, Missouri, on June 21, 1977, at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri. Upon a roll call, Aldermen Brenner, Best, Scudder, Swetnam and West were present, Rodeberg absent and Mayor Young calling said meeting to order. Minutes of June 7, 1977 were read and approved as read. George James, 26 Camelot Place, Liberty, Mo. 64068, presented application for liquor license and business license for Eli's Restaurant, said applications were approved subject to the payment of the fee. Rosamond Hammer, 10310 Nall, Overland Park, Kansas 66207, presented two applications for Fire Works Sales, representing ASTERO, out of Wichita, Kansas - one location Lot 22, Renner P1Rza, 2700 W. Platt Road (Kelly's Restaurant) and the other glace is at Azorsky's Outlet Store on N.W. Gateway, said applications were approved sul3Jec t to the payment of the fees. Mike Smith, 4823 N. Kensington,Cr., K. C., Mo. 64119, presented application for fire works to be sold at 4444 N.W. Gateway (Dairy Queen), said application approved subject to the payment of the fee. E. H. Young, 2401 W. Platte Road presented application for the sale of fire works; said application approved subject to thepayment of the fee. Cathy Miller, 4527 N. White, K.C., Mo. 64119 presented application for the sale of fire works, North Side of Jocky Club (will call in size of tenh, and get sales tax number) approved subject to the payment of the fee. John Sparks, 8637 N. Greenhills Road, K.C., Mo. 64152, presented application .for the building of a house on Lot 2, Indian Hills Third Addition. Because of the request for the distance the'.house fe to be built from the-front property line (less than 35 feet) the matter-was t~~~~bbfttr~`. ~a~iia~ Adjustment Board. The matter was discussed an$ the i~~comM~dation of the Zoning Adjustment Board was read ,and a copy ;aittached hereto. Scudder,moved that the City accept John Sparks application aubjact to the notation made on the survey and in accordance with the zuling of the Board of Zoning Adjustment of June 21, 1977, seconded by John We~t,~-the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner,: ~, Best, Scudder, West and Swetnam voted aye; Rodeberg ak7sent. L. A. Snowden, 6304 Normandy, Indian Hills applied for permission to build house on Lot 7, Indian Hills Third Addition. He had advised the $oard that he had not been before the Planning Commission for the reason that he has had his drawings redrawn so that it would fit on Page 2, June 21, 1977 Reg. Meeting of Board the lot in accordance with regulations. He said he would go before the.:. Planning Commission and then come back to the Board. Thismatter was discussed. West moved that the Board approve the plans of Mr. Snowden for the house on Lot 7, Indian Hills 3rd Addition, subject to the approval of the Planning Commission, provided he increase the square footage on the main floor to the 1'00 sq. ft. minimun as required by the Subdivision regulations, Brenner seconded themotion, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner, Best, Scudder, West and Swetnam voted aye; Rodeberg absehti. Don Jack advised that he had made some sewer inspections since the last meeting. Recess was called. Meeting reconvened. Roll called: Brenner, Best, Scudder, West and Swetnam present, Rodeberg absent. Brenner moved that Bill No. 77-11 being bill appropriation of money out of the general fund of Missouri, for the payment of certain indebtedness be placed on its first reading, .seconded by Scudd~ called and votes were as follows: Brenner, Best, Swetnam voted aye;- Rodeberg absent; said bill was providing for the the city of Riverside, as listed therein ~r, the rollwas Scudder, West and acoordingly read. Scudder moved that Bill No. 77-11 be placed on its second reading, seconded by West, the rollv~es called and votes were as follows: Brenner, Best, West, Scudder, and Swetnam voted aye; Rodegerb absent; said bill . was accordingly read. West moved ghat Bill No. 77-11 be placed on its third reading and and upon passage of same become Ord. No. 77-11, seconded by Scudder, the' roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner, Best, West, Scudder, and Swetnam voted aye; Rodeberg absent; said bill. was accordingly read attached hereto and made a part hereof, approved by Mayor Young and became Ord. No. 77-11. The budget for 1977-78 .was discussed. Brenner .moved #~~t the. budget for 1977-78 as presented be adopted, seconded by Scudder,. the roll .was called and votes were as follows: Brenner, Best, Scudder, West and Swetnam voted aye; Rodeberg absent. There being no further business, uponmotion made by Brenner, seconded by Scudder that meting adjourn - motion carried.
