Riverside, Missouri
January 4, 1977
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of River-
side, Missouri was. held on January 4, 1977, at 7:30 p.m. in the City
Hall in Riverside, Missouri; upon a roll call, aldermen Rodeberg,
Brenner, Best, Scudder, and Swetnam were present, Westabsent and
Mayor Young calling said meeting to order.
Minutes of December 21, 1976, were read and approved as
corrected.
Curtis Kolstad, 3231 N.E. 47th Street, K. C., Mo. 64117,
presented license application to sell antiques at White dty, 1812
West Platte Road, the license were approved subject to the payment
of the fee.
K.C., Mo.
Roger Foster, 8920 N.E. Sammy Lane, P.O. Box 9151 Riverside,
Mo., presented license application to operate the D-X Service station
and Rental, said application was approved subject to the payment of
the fee.
The Mid-Continent Disposal Service was discussed and this matter
would be looked into furth=_r ~dth regard to the location of their
business.
Rodeberg brought~up the matter of having a separate phone for the
City Clerk, and this matter would be looked into further.
It was brought out that it would be a good idea to have everyone
who is~.~using a building for storage purposes only to come in and
get a license, and perhaps just charge $1.00 per year, just so the
City will have a record of what is in the buildings, or what they
are used for.
The Occupation License Certificates are to be studied.
The Mayor suggested that the Police and Fire Departments have
a training program for the different men to be able to drive'~:the various
vehicles of the city's.
Brenner, Gary Hohimer and Young a¢3e to check into the matter of
purchasing a truck for the City, also to check into the emergency
equipment which may be needed if there is more snow or ice. It was
also thought that the old truck should be repaired and could be used
as a second truck.
There being no further business, upon motion made, seconded and
passed, meeting adjourned.
