Mr. Herzog was present to advise the Mayor and Board the work
that he has accomplished with regard to the sewer district in the area
of Norma Drive-In, Sinclair, Used car lot owned by Filgers and
Dairy-Queen and Bank. The problem he has now encountered is the way
to cross over the pipeline before going into the main trunk-line
sewer. A discussion was had regarding this matter. It was the
recommendation of the City Attorney Don Witt that the line parallel
the pipelines
Virgil Griggs presented some plans to the Board for a new house
in Seven Oaks Addition. This matter was discussed. He was advised
that he should have a plot plan drawn to scale and that something
would have to be worked out with regard to the paving of the street.
It would also be necessary to receive something in writing from
the Highway Department that he has authority to use its right of way.
This pertains to Lot 29. It was also recommended that Griggs, Friez
and Pease get together with an engineer and see what can be done about
building the remainder of the street.
It was recommended that a letter be sent (certified or registered)
to all the members of the Filger Sewer District advising that they
should get hooked into the sewer as quickly as possible, and setting
out a certain time limit.
West advised the Mayor and Board that he will be liable for the
cost of The City Attorney to get Sewer Districts Nos. 11 and 15
in position and up to date so that they may be accepted by the City.
Upon present of the bill to West, he will pay same.
Don Jack advised that it was in order to give Williams Bros.
the $500.00 the i3ity has in escrow account of the work which was
done to Line Creek in the vicinity of its pipeline.
The sign which was installed at Riverside Street and West
Platt road and which had been taken down due to the new building
was discussed. It was thought that there should be one large
sign designating the area rather'.than smaller signs (one for each
business).
Don Jack advised that the information received from HUD regarding
