Minutes of Regular Meeting
Board of Aldermen of the
City of Riverside, Mo.
September 21, 1976
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of River-
side, Missouri, was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri,rn
September 21, 1976, at 7:30 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen
Rodeberg, Brenner, Scudder, West, Best and Swetnam were present, said
meeting was called to order by Mayor Young.
The minutes of meeting of September 7, 1976, were read and
approved as read and corrected.
Dorothy and Raymond House presented application for restaurant
at 2707 Vivian Road, said applicatinn was approved subject to the
payment of fee - $30.00 for remainder of year.
Ray Parsley, 7509 N.W. Winter, Kansas City, Missouri, presented
application with appropriate attachments for house to be built in
Indian Hills. It appearing that he had satisfied the requirements
of the Planning Commission, the application was approved subject to
the payment of fee - $64.35.
Tony Cappo, 405 E. 73rd Terrace, Kansas City, Missouri, asked
for a Class B and Class E liquor license without restrictions. TYa s
matter was discussed. It appeared that the quota of liquor by the
drink permits were used. It was suggested that Mr. Cappo retain
the license that he had prior to this time and then the Board would
see if somet}ing a~uld be worked out in line with his request.
With regard to the airplanes making considerable noise, Mr. Scud-
der will secure the name, address and phone number for the people who
wish to register their complaints.
The Street Lights in Indian dills will be studied further.
Mayor Young reported that the boxes of files which were stored
in the rear of the garage have been moved to the "Old Fata"build~ring.
With regard to Mattox Road, it was and

Don Jack reported that the extension to City Hall is coming
along fine.
It was reported that District 11 (Sewer District) owes the City
$900.00, this is for work Don Jack Did.

Mrs. Rodeberg reported that 12iverside's Fall Festival was a
success, it was thought that there were somewhere between 7 and 8
hundred people that attended.
The City is to prepare letter thanking all those ..who participated
and helped with the Festival.
Mr. Witt is to:_be reminded to present his bill each month and
also to separ8te the work he does for the Safety Department from
the Administrative.
Scudder moved that Bill No. 76-23 being bill providing for the
appropriation of money out of the general fund of the City of Riverside,
Missouri for the payment of certain indebtedness as listed therein be
placed on its first reading, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called
and votes were as follows: Rodeberg, Brenner, Best, Scudder, West
and Swetnam voted aye; said bill was accordingly read.
Swetnam moved that Bill No. 76-23 be placed on its second reading,
seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
Rodeberg, Brenner, Best, Scudder, West and Swetnam voted aye; said
bill was accordingly read.
West moved that Bill No. 76-23 be placed on its third reading
and upon passage of same become Ord. No. 76-23, seconded by Scudder,
the roll was called and votes were as follows: Rodeberg, Brenner, Best,
Scudder, West and Swetnam voted aye; said bill was accordingly read,
attached hereto and made a part hereof, approved by Mayor Young and became
Ord. No. 76-23.
The matter of hauling dirt and rocks over the streets in Riverside,
and getting a permit therefor was discussed.
West moved that the hauling permit be issued for 30 days and the
fee paid and it is permissible to secure a 30-day extension for that
permit with the waiver of the fee, provided the permit renewal is
for the original construction site and the renewal shall be approved
by the Chief of Police, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and
votes were as follows: Rodeberg, Brenner, Best, Scudder, West and
Swetnam voted aye.
There being no further business, upon motion made, seconded and
passed, meeting adjourned. -- 10:33 p.m.
