August 31, 1976 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Mo. was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on August 31, 1976 at approximately 9:30 p.m. Upon a roll call, aldermen Rodeberg, Brenner, Scudder, West and Swetnam were present, Best absent and said meeting was called to order by Mayor Young. West moved thatwe dispense with the reading of the minutes of the meeting of August 17, 1976, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Roderberg, Brenner,, Scudder, West and Swetnam voted aye; Best absent. West advised that the bids on the extension to the dty Hall were opened at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 1976 in the presence of Don Jack, Betty Burch and West. All the bidders were present. The bids were as follows: Messini Bros. A discussion was had regarding the bids andq ~11"•""t'h aldermen agreed these were higher than they had anticipated. Brenner moved that the City accept Drexel Noble Constructtn Company bid for the proposed extension to the City Haul Building with the three alternates for a total sum of $152,129, Roderberg seconded, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Roderberg, Brenner, Scudder, West and Swetnam voted aye; Best absent. West moved that Bill No. 76-20 being bill accepting the bid and authorizing the execution of a contract faith Drexel Noble Construction Company for an addition to the City Hall, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Rodeberg, Brenner, Scudder, West and Swetnam voted aye; Best absent, said bill was accordingly read. Rodeberg moved that Bill No.76-20 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Scudder, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Rodeberg, Brenner, Scudder, West and Swetrmam voted aye; Best absent, sail bill was accordingly read. Scudder moved that Bill No. 76-20 be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. 76-20, seconded by West, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Rodeberg, Brenner, Scudder, West and Swetnam voted aye; Best absentl said bill was accordingl read, attached hereto and made a part hereof, approved by Mayor Young anc3 be~gc~a~me Ord. Jr~'''H o. .-~ 19est - moved that Bill No. 76-2 being bill providing or the appropriation of money out of the general fund for the payment of Don Jack's bill in the approximate amount of $12,000, be placed on its first reading, seconded by Rodeberg, the roll was called and votes Reg. Meeting Aug. 31, 1976 Page 3 were as follows: Rodeberg, Brenner, West and Swetnam vcited aye; ,Scudder and;Best absent; sad~bll,was accordingly read. Rodeberg moved that Bill No. 76-21 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Rodeberg, Brenner, West and Swetnam voted aye; Scudder and Best absent. West moved that Bill No. 76-21 be placed on its third reading, and upon paseage of dame becone Ord. Nd. 76-21, seconded by Rodeberg, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Rodeberg, Brenner, West and Swetnam voted aye; Scudder and Best absent, said bill was accordingly read, attached h=reto and made a part hereof and became Ord. No. 76-21. There being no further business, upon motion made, seconded and passed, meeting adjourned. `~~ _' /
