HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-12-02Minutes of Regular Meeting of Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri December 2, 1975 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside- Missouri, was held in the City Hall at ,7:30 p.m. and upon a roll call, Aldermen Best, Grogan, Scudder, Swetnam, Vulgamott and West were present; Swetnam calling said meeting to order and being Mayor Proten. The Minutes of November 18, 1975, were read and approved as read and corrected. George James, 26 Camelot Place, Liberty, Missouri and Paul Kueker, 9840 East 41st Street, Kansas City, Missouri, were present and Mr. James presented application for license to operate Alfred's Trailer Court which was owned by Mr. Kueker. This matter was discussed-that there are 12 trailers on the premises at the present time, the area is 258' x 108' and at the present time they are hooked into septic tanks (5). Mr. James advised he would hook into the public sewers as soon as he can. The application was approved, subject to the payment of the fee of $36.00 for the remainder of the year - full year being $144.00, and'that he be hooked into the public sewer by July 1, 1976. Mr. Bill Russell, 9015 Kathern, Liberty, Missouri was present to apply for permit or license to sell Christmas Trees on behalf of Boy Scout Troop 214, Pleasant Valley; the location of the business would be in Re8-X parking lot. The board approved same, subject to the payment of $25.00 for the fee and the posting of $100 bond for the cleaning up. Mike Murp~iy, 5113 NE 42nd Street, Kansas City, Missouri, discussed with the Board the possibility of his having an arcade, this would be at Quick-Trip Store if it could be worked out. A:~pro~3osed ordinance was given to Mr. Murphy and he is to study this and come back to discuss the possibility of working out something. He was thinking of having a pool table, some pinball machines, a few other machines and possibly ice cream. Tom Zimmerman was present at the meeting since Don Jack could not attend. The Board was reminded that at the December 16, 1975, meeting, the matters of trailers being parked around different places in Riverside would be discussed along with the matter of the sign ordinance. Upon motion made, seconded and passed, the meeting adjourned.
